Crabman

I started with a fantastic base model from Marcus Whinney,
which I purchased and then pushed further, adding additional sculpted details (needed later).

For texturing, I mainly used Substance Painter to bring out the creature's features and surface details.
Then I switched to Maya and V-Ray to develop the final look, lighting and shaders.

To complete the character, I added clothes (I finally found out what the piece of cloth/skirt is called! loincloth^^) and a spear based on a concept by the one and only Jeremy Love: https://www.artstation.com/jeremylove

It was a great experience to give my creative touch to this dude :D
